Patrick Wayne Swayze, dancer, actor, and singer-songwriter has died. Well known for his leading roles in Dirty Dancing (he did all his own dancing) and Ghost, both of which earned him Golden Globe nominations, and declared sexist man alive in 1991 by People magazine he was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in January 2008.
He was a multi-engined instrument rated pilot. A qualification he shared with his widow Lisa Niemi whom he married on June 12th, 1975 (34 years). They lived together on a five-acre spread called Rancho Bizarro outside of Los Angeles.
