[SportsFilter] and [Blogroots] are two sites which run similar back-end software written and revised by MattHaughey. Very like MeFi in many ways, they cover the topics of sports and blogging in much more detail than would ever be appropriate for MeFi. If you have a question or post in these areas consider those sites before MetaFilter. (See also SimilarWebsites.)
At one time [the 5k], an annual contest for websites utilizing fewer than 5Kb of code, was hosted on the MeFi server as well, using much of the same back-end code, but it has since moved.
Note that although MattHaughey may have helped code these sites, he is not closely involved in their administration. Also, SportsFilter? is not hosted on the MeFi Server.
[9622.net] is a community named after the also infamous [9622 thread]. The participants here tend to be more ExMeFite? and lurkers than current MeFite? regulars, and injokes and chattiness abound. It is a place for people who like people who like MetaFilter, rather than MetaFilter clones.
[FreeQuonsar.com] is a group weblog maintained by MetafilterIRC regulars.
